Wedding and Wine Dress

Hello loves!

It has been way too long since my last post, but life has been a bit hectic recently.

As the school year comes to an end and I start to pack up my classroom, wedding season is just starting. My first wedding of the year was last weekend and I thought I would share with you all the outfit I wore to the ceremony at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard near Bloomington Normal, Illinois (GO ISU REDBIRDS!)

The day ended up being absolutely gorgeous! A little toasty when sitting under the direct sun, but with a little breeze from the lake, it ended up being perfect weather.

Getting to the venue was an interesting adventure. Exiting the highway, Siri took us onto a dirt road through a small town where each house was about a mile from each other. Locals were laying on pool floaties where the river started, drinking beer. Horses were roaming around one of the farm houses. Tractors were abandoned in the middle of corn fields. There was no sign of the vineyard where the wedding ceremony was to take place. 20 minutes down the dirt road, we finally got back onto a concrete road that let us to the entrance of the vineyard.

The dress I decided to wear was a navy floral knee length dress from Missguided. I paired it with nude colored open toe heels and large gold statement earrings.

Like large statement jewelry pieces? Check out my blog post here.

I honestly can say that I was not expecting much because of how rural the drive down was, but I could not believe how beautiful the vineyard ended up being.

Take a look for yourself!
