Sephora 20% Sale Wish List

Hi loves!

It has been forever. I’ve honestly just been relaxing on these past 2 weeks off before I start up with my PreK class again and PERFECT TIMING FOR my 20% OFF SEPHORA HAUL WISH LIST!

With fall around the corner, I have been researching the top makeup and skincare trends for all of you!

20% off at Sephora starts up for VIB Rouge members this Friday and although I have already solidified my Rouge membership for next year (yes, shopping addiction much?) there is never enough makeup sitting on my vanity. If you are a VIB member you will receive 15% off, and beauty insiders receive 10% starting Monday, August 3rd.

Here is a little cheatsheet for ya!

I am definitely going to need to do some purging as my vanity is getting a bit crazy, but I have been busy adding some final touches recently to my little beauty area in my bedroom. I just added this lamp today that I got for free from a friend who just recently moved.

Would you guys want me to do a vanity tour for you? Let me know in the comments section please!

CoverFX Foundation | click to shop

Screen Shot 2018-08-22 at 2.45.17 PM.png

This foundation is for combination oily skin (over here please!) Also, I love that it is free of mineral oil, sulfates, parabens, gluten, and it is vegan. On the Sephora website, this product claims to “provide a transfer-proof, matte finish; all-day shine control; and pigments that will not oxidize.” I tend to use full coverage foundations such as this one.

Anastasia Norvina Eyeshadow Palette | click to shop

Screen Shot 2018-08-22 at 2.55.44 PM

This pallet is called Norvina named after the Brand President. These colors are seriously what I dream about when I dream up an eyeshadow palette. I love the 50/50 matte and sparkly pigments. Eccentric is such a GORGEOUS color for the Fall season as well as Passion and Drama. I have never used Anastasia’s eyeshadows before, but if they are anything like their eyebrow line in quality then sign me up please.

Clinique Blackhead Solutions Self-heating Blackhead Extractor | click to shop

Screen Shot 2018-08-22 at 3.07.20 PM

This next one is beyond intriguing to me. This product is from Clinique, which always has great products, but I am super skeptical about it. This product claims to “provide a 93 percent reduction in blackheads in six weeks”. I have blackheads all over my nose and even on my chin (which is a new development for me, thank you age). If anyone has tried this product before I attempt to buy it, I would love to hear your feedback.

Shiseido Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush | click to shop

Screen Shot 2018-08-22 at 3.17.02 PM.png Now I’m not usually a fan of whipped products because of my oily skin, but this blush is so different than any other whipped product I have put on my face. After applied, it “transforms into a long-lasting, weightless, breathable powder with a soft-matte finish.” HOLY SH**! So many gorgeous colors to choose from in order to compliment your skin tone the best. Also dermatologist tested and free of oil and fragrance. This is a must buy on my list!

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow | click to shop

Screen Shot 2018-08-22 at 3.22.07 PM

With 5 gorgeous colors, champagne, copper, gold, pink, and taupe (pictured), this glitter eyeshadow looks super pigmented. Hourglass has always prided themselves on being paraben and sulfate free and this product is no exception. These sophisticated shades are perfect to bring some shine and pizzaz (do people even say that word anymore) to your makeup collection.

How to Stay Blonde

IMG_1831 2

Hi loves!

Where are my blondies? Us girls know how much of an upkeep blonde hair is. Either you have super dark roots, if you get your hair highlighted like me, or your hair turns into a brassy orange color (YUCK). I have been highlighting my hair in preparation for the summer and I’m going to share with you the tips and tricks I have used to keep my hair looking blonde well after I have walked out of my salon.

I also included a little affordable fashion at the bottom of this post

IMG_1827 2.png

1. Bayalage

A lot of girls don’t go blonde because it’s so damaging to your hair. All that bleach literally fries your strands. Therefore, its recommended to not get touchups too frequently in order to maintain those healthy locks. I have my hair done with a balayage technique. This technique (as stated by google dictionary) is when “the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect.” This technique is trending right now because as your hair grows out, there is no defined zebra stripe of light and dark hair. And, because the growth looks so natural, this means less touch ups! Voila! Healthy, gorgeous hair that you don’t have to go spend more money on 3 months later.

IMG_1823 2.png

2. Tinted Shampoo and Conditioner

Using a tinted shampoo and conditioner has done wonders to my hair. I have almost finished my bottle of Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner and have been loving the results! I got these two products from Sally Beauty Supply for only $12.99 each. The color of this line is literally purple. Im not talking, a tinge of color, I’m talking full on, no mistaken it, PURPLE!When using purple shampoo and conditioner, our hair absorbs some of the purple pigment thus canceling out the red and yellow undertones, or brassiness. There is also a bit of shimmer in this shampoo and conditioner (hence the name “Shimmer Lights”).

I usually wash my hair normally with the shampoo. With the conditioner, I apply it gently to my hair, avoiding the roots, and let it sit for a couple minutes (usually while I wash my body or shave my legs). Then I rinse it out REALLY WELL. If not rinsed out well enough, your hair holds onto some pigment making it a little purple.

3. Repair

Even though you don’t need to go in for touchups as often, your hair still may become a bit damaged from even your first appointment. This is why I use my RUSK Deep Shine Platinum Repair Treatment. I got mine from TJMaxx, but I found that they also sell them on Amazon so I included the link for you all above.

I use this product about 2-3 times a week. After shampooing and conditioning, apply throughout hair, using sparingly in the roots, and let sit for about 5 minutes. If applied in the roots, then your hair will not have as much volume and will feel heavier once styled. Rinse very well and dry.

A Face Lotion Proven to Work

Hi loves!

We have all tried those face creams that promise to get rid of dry patches and skin scales. Beautiful packaging, promising of results, and the best part?! They DON’T WORK!

Well, have no fear loves, because I am going to share with you a moisturizer I have used for years and love!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

Click image to shop – $14.50
I have oily to combination skin, and when using this product, I never get that oily residue feel on my face.

How I Use

  • about a blueberry size amount
  • distribute a small dot onto my cheeks and forehead
  • rub in, starting with outer part of face, since I have an oily t-zone
  • Use leftover product on t-zone

When used morning and night, this 1.7oz tube lasted me about 2 months; definitely so worth spending the $14.50 on.

Sephora 15% Off Haul

Hi loves!

15% off at Sephora was these past two weekends if you are VIB Rouge, which I am because I have a makeup addiction. Luckily, my mom and sister are makeup addicts as well and joined me for a family trip to our local Sephora (my dad decided to sit this one out).

Read on to see what I picked up!

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick

These lipsticks have been all the rage with makeup bloggers and vloggers recently, so I figured it was about time I picked some up! The colors I purchased were “It’s Happening!” and “Cool Girl”.

Sephora Collection Brow Enhancer

While at Sephora, my sister asked me if I had ever used a highlighter around my brows, and believe it or not I had not. So thank my sister for this one! I picked up color #7 in Matte Ivory.

Sephora Favorites Lashstash To Go

Literally, the absolute best deal EVER at Sephora.

You get 5 mini mascaras for only $28 (before the 15% off), PLUS a voucher inside the box for one of these full-size mascaras of your choosing! Usually, one mini mascara costs $11 and a full-size mascara can cost about $23. If you purchased all of the minis individually, plus one regular size, you would be spending $78!!! THATS A $50 SAVINGS! I can not rant and rave about this deal enough. Definitely will be looking for more of these Sephora Favorites To Go boxes in the future.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I guess the 5 mini mascaras was not enough mascara for me because I fell into the “new mascara” trap and had to be one of the first to try out this new mascara by Urban Decay.

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm Temporary Face Tightener

Although I am only 26, I have noticed that my face is starting to change from what it use to once be. As many beauty gurus will tell you, at the age of 21 you are supposed to start using anti-aging creams so I guess I am 5 years too late. I have noticed that my forehead and area between my eyebrows has started to form fine lines (notice it more when I don’t wear sunglasses and squint a lot). The “before” and “immediately after” photos of customers on the packaging had me hooked. Can’t wait to try this product out for myself.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer

I have used this product before but always felt as though my eyebrows looked wayyyyy too dark after filling them in with the color Dark Brown. My eyebrows are super coarse and super dark, but I hate how dark they end up looking when filled in, so this time around I bought the Taupe color.

Huda Beauty Mauve Obsession Eyeshadow Palette

I’ve been on the lookout for a Mauve palette for a bit now. I have never purchased products from Huda Beauty, but hoping that I fall in love with this palette.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

After thorough research for a great liquid pen eyeliner, it came down to Stila or Kat Von D. The only reason I went with the Stila is because of the color “Jet Black”. This color is beyond pigmented! I love how dark, bold, and seamlessly it applies. For someone looking for a more subtle look, definitely go for the Kat Von D liquid eyeliner.

Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot

Glitter, glitter, glitter! I can’t get enough glitter eyeshadow and this Sephora trip was no exception. I picked up the color “Beach Bae” which is metallic copper. As you can see from the picture, I already dove into this because I just couldn’t wait! It does take a little layering to build up, but so far I am loving the color and staying power.

Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer

I received the mini Dior Lash Primer a while back from Sephora and never got around to purchasing the regular size until now. This is hands down one of the best mascara primers I have ever used. Worth every cent.

Ciate Dewy Stix Luminous Highlighting Balm

Dewy skin is all the rage of top Instagram influencers recently, so when I saw this I had to have it! I got the color Transparent, which literally is like Vaseline (attractive, I know). Hoping that it looks good or else I might just start using Vaseline…

April Sephora Haul

Hello fellow makeup junkies!

April showers bring….. MAKEUP!

It’s April and that means for a makeup junkie like me, it’s raining makeup.

Of course I purchased all of this before the 15% off flyer appeared in my mailbox, therefore I will have another haul in the next few days.

For my first haul, I went into Sephora with 3 products in mind. I ended up walking out with 7… just another day in the life of me and my shopping addiction I guess. Keep reading to see what my April Sephora haul brought.

Follow me on my blog so you don't miss out on my reviews
for these products in the upcoming weeks!

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

I have been on the lookout for a high-end makeup setting spray since I recently ran out of my NYX dewy finish setting spray. NYX was alright, but I am always looking for new products to try and had heard great things as well as good reviews on this one! I have so much faith in this product that I purchased the regular size.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

This concealer felt so light on my skin when I tested it out on my hand at Sephora. I bought one that was 2 shades lighter than my skin tone and plan on using it as a highlighter.

Check out my post

Smashbox Studio Skin Face Shaping Foundation Stick

B-U-T-T-E-R! This product literally felt like butter on my hand and I am beyond stoked to put it all over my face! I have literally never felt any product with such a great consistency before this one. I am nervous that it might be too “buttery” and made me break out, but the only way to find out is to put it to the test.

Benefit They’re Real! Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara

I have yet to find a really great mascara that I’m crazy about and repurchase. I’ve tried Dior, Too Faced, Covergirl, and the list goes on. The current mascara I have been using right now is It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara which has been my favorite thus far, but almost (dare I say) too dramatic?? Don’t get me wrong, I love it for nights out, but when I’m teaching, it tends to be a bit much. Fingers crossed that this mascara will make it to my repurchase list.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

So I have to admit that I already owned this product in the mini size, but I loved it so much that I purchased the regular size this time around.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

The consistency of this product literally looks like a normal moisturizer in the container, but when you rub it, it gets a, what I like to call, “hydrated water” kind of feel that you really have to feel to believe. Super smooth on the skin. Not sure how great the hydration is yet, but so far I am blown away by the texture.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

As you all know from my Top 3 Foundations post, I am loving my Marc Jacobs foundation, but youtube bloggers and Sephora reviews made me buy this and the cashier at Sephora was ranting and raving about it at the register so I must have gone right somewhere.

This foundation claims to have a silky finish (duh, its called Luminous SKILK foundation). I do get paranoid about “silky” foundations because of my oily skin, however, the temptation of wanting to know how it worked with my complexion was too difficult to ignore.
